Busy and productive Professional Development Day! 📚
Teachers kicked off the day with a staff meeting, then spent time working with the Step Up Consultant on RSPs and curriculum. Throughout the day we also met about next year’s schedules, the Wellness Committee, and MAP testing. Lots of learning, planning, and teamwork happening to support our students! 💪🍎


Jostens will be at school on February 4 to talk to sophomores about ordering class rings. Orders forms and more information will be sent home.

📚 The Book Fair is Coming!
Our school Book Fair will be held February 9–13. Students were sent home with a flyer featuring a few of the exciting selections that will be available. On Friday, students will get a sneak peek at the fair and have a chance to create their wish lists.

🌱 Growing Scientists in 6th Grade!
Our 6th grade students have been watching their plants grow roots as part of their study of the plant reproduction cycle. Hands-on learning like this helps bring science to life!

100 days of learning, laughing, and growing! We had a great time celebrating with fun activities across the school. One hundred days brighter… and maybe even 100 days older! 🤩⭐️💫










High school students gained first-hand experience and knowledge about welding during a presentation from the American Welding Institute.


Students.....Don’t forget to sell your 50/50 raffle tickets! 🎟️ The lucky winner will be drawn on February 13th at the home basketball game. This Booster Club fundraiser helps support our students in sports and activities—thank you for helping make a difference!

Another tough loss for the Lions. The Pirates take the 56–53 win on their Homecoming night. The Lions played the entire game with heart and determination. Keep your heads up and keep grinding—proud of the effort, boys! 🦁

The Scholar Bowl team didn’t advance to the final round, but these students answered some astonishing questions! They all did a great job tonight, and we’re so proud of them! 🦁📚




Congratulations to our 5th grade class on graduating from the D.A.R.E. program today! They learned about drug abuse, its consequences, and how to resist peer pressure involving drugs, alcohol, and tobacco.
Congrats to Koltynn Abbott for winning the DARE Essay contest. Thank you Deputy Wickham and the Miller County Sheriff's Department for providing this program to our students.








Good luck to our High School Scholar Bowl team. They are competing in the Show-Me Central Conference Meet this evening at St. Elizabeth at 4pm.
