A HUGE thank you to all of the FFA Alumni, Board of Education members, students, and Diane, our custodian, for donating their Saturday morning to cleaning up the Ag shop and greenhouse. We wouldn't have gotten it done without you! We appreciate all of our community support.

Don't forget the Blood Drive tomorrow afternoon--and it has been moved from the cafeteria to the gym. See you there!

Swim lessons are July 10-21. Contact Annie McGowin at (573) 375-1044.

We had an awesome day on Saturday for our Parents as Teachers Bike Safety Day! Detective Wheeler from the Miller County Sheriff's Department donated helmets to all of the participants and helped Mrs. Patterson set up a course for the kids to follow on their bikes. Mara Clement from Miller County Health Center showed a video about bike safety and gave away a bike and a helmet to our drawing winner, Elliana Witt. Bo Alieksaites checked tire pressure, while Deputies Hannon and Thomas checked seat height measurements and made adjustments for our kiddos. A big thank you to Mrs. Benita Patterson, our PAT educator, for organizing the event, as well as all the community members who assisted her!

Mrs. Wyrick is hosting a yard sale this Thursday and Friday from 7-5, and Saturday from 7-10, at the city yard sale building. She's been cleaning upstairs, so there's no telling what you might find--come check it out! All funds from school items sold will go back into the gifted program for next year.

We are cleaning out our storage areas, and we have lots of old textbooks that need to go. Although they may have older copyright dates, they can still be used as reference materials and study resources for students. If you would like any of them for your student, please come by the building this week between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and take what you will use.

For those who signed up for Summer School: It starts tomorrow 5/18. If you are riding the bus, it will pick up students at THS between 7:30- and 7:35 and will drop off at THS between 3:30 and 3:40 each day. (Times are approximate.)

Happy Mother's Day to all of our Mama Lions! Thank you for sending us such great students!
